JSFF'09 OFFICIAL JURY

Members of this will award two prizes one for Best Arab Short Film ($3000 USD) and one for Best International Short Film ($3000 USD). Both prizes are sponsored by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture. The jury will also give special mention for Cinematography, Acting, and Script. Jurors may also bestow additional Special Mentions in exceptional situations. No film from the Amman Filmmakers Cooperative, the organizing entity of the festival, can qualify for monetary prizes.

Montserrat Guiu, co-director of Huesca Film Festival, Spain.

Moayad Abdullah, front-line documentary film producer, Jordan.

 

JSFF'09 CULTURAL ACTIVISTS JURY

Members of this jury are established cultural activists, individuals who have contributed to the local cultural scene, cinema or otherwise.

Ms. Rawan Zeine, filmmaker and founder of Ta3leelah Open Mic.

Ms. Marta Abboud, Spanish Agency for Cultural Cooperation.

Mr. Sameh Mahariq, film critic and author of he Weekend Cinema section at Al-Rai newspaper.
